Coffee Break: Sept. 21, 2004
Coffee
Break Quick Facts
- Coffee
Break™ is an annual nationwide
event organized by local Alzheimer Societies to raise
funds to provide essential programs and services.
- More
than 10,000 Coffee Break events will be held across
Canada this year.
- The
annual Alzheimer Coffee Break has raised more than
$6 million since it began in 1996.
- The
2003 Coffee Break raised more than $1 million for
essential programs and services in local communities
across Canada.
- Coffee
Breaks are unique to each location and can take place
anywhere: retail stores, restaurants, large and small
businesses, care facilities, schools, government
offices, coffee shops, community centers, churches
and in peoples' homes. Each time a cup is poured, a
donation is made to the Alzheimer Society.
- Coffee
Breaks aren't just about coffee! They provide an
opportunity for people to socialize, build community
spirit and support their local Alzheimer Society at
the same time.
- The
Alzheimer Society of Canada thanks Pfizer Canada
Inc., National Patron of Coffee Break since 1997, for
their ongoing support and sponsorship. Appreciation
is also extended to Sara Lee and National Car Rental
for their participation as in-kind sponsors.
