Still
My Grandpa
By
Claudia Campbell, grade six
Mom
said Grandpa used to
think of life as a game,
Thats
hard to believe, sometimes
he doesn't remember his name.
I
think I remember when
he was joyful and fun,
I
remember now those
careless summers under the sun.
But
then he started to lose
small things, his keys,
He
was getting old, all he
got was senile jokes and tease.
I'm
scared, the doctors said
he lost too much to gain
But
now I remember and know
he's still my Grandpa...
In
health
and
in
pain.
